Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

Lana Del Rey’s fourth major-label album, Lust for Life, has seemingly leaked online, just two days before its scheduled release.

Fans were quick to post online about the new, one fan Tweeting: “Oh my God, Lust for Life leaked, see you in an hour.”

Del Rey was quick to respond on Twitter, responding to the social media user with the message “You little f**kers”.

Another fan asked Del Rey whether she wanted the link, the singer posting “OK, what is it?”. After being told the link was deleted, she wrote: “Better be”. See the Twitter conversation below.

Del Rey announced the album in March with a mysterious teaser clip, starting a promotional tour focussing heavily on witchcraft.

The Weeknd, A$AP Rocky, Stevie Nicks, Sean Ono Lennon, and Playboi Carti will feature on the 16-track LP, which reaches streaming services and record stores 21 July.

To celebrate the release, Del Rey announced a surprise show at Brixton Academy for Monday 24 July. Tickets go on sale today at 12.00.
