Ryan Seacrest‘s interview with Lady Gaga turned awkward when the musician called out the E! presenter’s interview skills.

She had been joined by fellow A Star is Born soundtrack writers Mark Ronson, Andrew Waite and Anthony Rossomando on the Grammys red carpet, but the group’s interview with Seacrest saw him interrupt Gaga several times, before leaving her hanging on a question that wasn’t a question at all.

“And next it’s the Oscars with a live performance with Bradley at the Oscars...,” he said, before passing Gaga the microphone.

After a moment of silence, in which Gaga looked completely lost for words, she responded: “You’re like, answer my question but I’m not asking one.”

Seacrest then stated that they had run out of time and the show was about to cut to a commercial break.

Turning once more to Gaga, he added: “ Here’s me not asking a question, we’ll be right back.” The musician then played up to the moment by continuing to look utterly dumbfounded.

Gaga won three awards on the night, including Best Pop Solo Performance for “Joanne”.
