From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Lady Gaga has announced that her Las Vegas residency will begin as 2018 draws to a close.

The singer will bring her hotly-anticipated 'Enigma' show to the US state of Nevada for an extended run of shows, promising fans “a show unlike anything [she's] done before.”

Speaking to People, Gaga said: “It will be a celebration of all that is unique and different within us. The challenges of bravery can be overcome with creativity and courage that is grown out of adversity, love, and music.”

The musician will offer two versions of the same show for up to 27 performances. As well as a hit-filled set, Lady Gaga will offer fans the opportunity to watch a show comprised of stripped-down versions of her biggest songs played on the piano.

Speaking about the singer's appointment, Bill Hornbuckle - the President of MGM Entertainment - said: "Working with Lady Gaga and her team has been a career highlight for me.

"What she is planning for Las Vegas audiences is nothing short of spectacular. Welcoming her into our family will firmly position Park MGM as the city’s most exciting new destination.”

Other artists to have performed residency shows in Las Vegas include Elton John, Celine Dion and Britney Spears who brought her 'Piece Of Me' tour to Brighton Pride last weekend.

Tickets for Lady Gaga's shows are scheduled to go on sale on 13 August at 10am - you can buy them hereyyyy.

Members of Lady Gaga’s Little Monsters fan community will receive access to an exclusive pre-sale lasting 8-12 August - for more information, visit GagaVegas.com.
