Moment Ladbaby finds out they scored second Christmas number one

YouTube star LadBaby has scored his second Christmas number one in a row.

“I Love Sausage Rolls”, inspired by “I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll”, tops the festive chart with 93,000 sales this week, according to Official Charts.

The YouTube, whose real name is Mark Hoyle, released the song on 13 December with his wife Roxanne.

They have beaten Stormzy, Lewish Capaldi, Dua Lipa and Wham! in the race to the first position.

Only two other acts have scored consecutive Christmas number ones in the UK before: The Beatles (who had three between 1963 and 1965, plus another one in 1967) and the Spice Girls (who scored three between 1996 and 1998).

The couple shared their emotional reaction on YouTube live as the ranking was unveiled.

Money raised from the single is going to The Russell Trust, a food bank charity.

“How have we done this again? It’s the best feeling in the world – it’s a Christmas miracle yet again!” Hoyle told Official Charts.

LadBaby’s Christmas number one from last year, “We Built This City”, was also inspired by sausage rolls and was sung to the tune of Starship’s 1985 hit.

Stormzy’s “Own It”, featuring Ed Sheeran and Burna Boy, is second in the Christmas chart.

“Before you Go” by Lewis Capaldi comes third, followed by Dua Lipa’s “Don’t Start Now”.

Wham!’s “Last Christmas”, a classic festive hit, comes in fifth position.
