Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

Kylie Minogue will tour the UK and Ireland later this year as part of her recently-announced tour.

The Australian pop singer will begin at the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle on 18 September and continue through to October.

She will also perform at venues in Nottingham, Birmingham, Bournemouth, Cardiff, London, Glasgow, Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds and Dublin; concluding in Belfast on 8 October.

Fans hoping to get tickets should keep an eye out on her website kylie.com on 2 March.

The tour is in support of her upcoming album Golden, which was recorded in Nashville and reportedly has a bit of a "country feel".

In October she revealed the album was partly inspired by her split from her fiance, the actor Joshua Sasse, in February last year. The pair met on the set of US TV show Galavant in 2015, with Minogue announcing their engagement in February 2016.

"There's a little bit of heartbreak, I would say," she told The Sun. "Mostly I try to reflect where I am. Definitely, in the last year, there's been some of that but we bounce back. Most of it is super positive and inspiring, as a note to self as much anything else. I'm feeling great right now."

All of the songs were co-written by her, including the lead single "Dancing" which was released in January. Golden is set for release on 6 April.
