Kings of Leon announces first US tour dates following Grammy wins
Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.American rock band Kings of Leon is set to head out on a 31-date North American trek on June 5, announced the band's website on March 15. Fresh off of three 2010 Grammy wins, the band will begin its major-venue tour in Atlantic City, New Jersey, then make its way around the country through September 23.
Kings of Leon will be touring in support of its 2008 Only By the Night, which peaked in the top ten in ten countries, went platinum in the US, and was the best-selling album of the year in Australia and in the US iTunes Store. "Sex on Fire and "Use Somebody" from that album earned the band Grammy Awards in both 2009 and 2010.
The band's other previously scheduled tour dates include June and August performances in the UK and a headlining performance in June at the Bonnaroo Festival in Tennesee.
