This election is still a dead heat, according to most polls. In a fight with such wafer-thin margins, we need reporters on the ground talking to the people Trump and Harris are courting. Your support allows us to keep sending journalists to the story.

The Independent is trusted by 27 million Americans from across the entire political spectrum every month. Unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock you out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. But quality journalism must still be paid for.

American rock band Kings of Leon is set to head out on a 31-date North American trek on June 5, announced the band's website on March 15. Fresh off of three 2010 Grammy wins, the band will begin its major-venue tour in Atlantic City, New Jersey, then make its way around the country through September 23.

Kings of Leon will be touring in support of its 2008 Only By the Night, which peaked in the top ten in ten countries, went platinum in the US, and was the best-selling album of the year in Australia and in the US iTunes Store. "Sex on Fire and "Use Somebody" from that album earned the band Grammy Awards in both 2009 and 2010.

The band's other previously scheduled tour dates include June and August performances in the UK and a headlining performance in June at the Bonnaroo Festival in Tennesee.
