From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Kylie Jenner has responded to rumours of bad blood between her partner Travis Scott and brother-in-law Kanye West.
The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star, who has a child with Scott, responded to a fan who claimed the Astroworld artist was showing support for Drake in a social media post over the weekend.
"Scott is my kinda petty," the fan wrote, captioning a side-by-side shot of Scott wearing a sweatshirt with a Nike design (both Scott and Drake work with Nike, while West has a deal with Adidas).
West tweeted on 14 December stating: "Meeting with Trav tonight bet it never be a checks over stripes line again on a Trav song on Donda." He appeared to be suggesting Scott now knows to choose family first.
"He's not being petty," Jenner replied to the fan. "This is a sweatshirt design... Everyone is good, moved on, living life. For anyone who wasn't aware – Travis has a deal with Nike and still does. point is... it's all been talked out. It's only positive energy."
West refuelled tension with Drake with a string of tweets last week that accused the Scorpion artist of trying to "threaten" him. Their feud supposedly sparked up again after Scott collaborated with Drake on "Sicko Mode", where the Toronto artist took a few perceived swipes at West.
"How you gone be on Trav's song coming at me," West said in his rant over the weekend. "Trav should never have allowed that. It's not about rap, it's about family. We have to be close as a family and never let people infiltrate just for radio spins."
Later he tweeted: "I hit Trav earlier today. Now he just hit me. More threats."
On Saturday, he wrote: "Met with Trav at my crib this morning. We expressed ourselves. It's all love."
