Kim Kardashian West has opened up about her experience of looking after husband Kanye West when he contracted coronavirus earlier this year.

The award-winning rapper revealed that he had been infected with Covid-19 in an interview with Forbes

Speaking to Grazia magazine, Kardashian said: “Kanye had it way at the beginning, when nobody really knew what was going on.

“It was so scary and unknown. I had my four babies and no one else in the house to help.”

The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star said that she had had to change West’s bedsheets wearing gloves and protective facial gear, and had to help him out of bed “when he wasn’t feeling good”.

“It was a challenge because it was so unknown. Changing his sheets with gloves and a face shield was really a scary time,” she said.

Kardashian also specified that West had contracted the virus at a similar time to Hollywood stars Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson.

Hanks and Wilson were two of the first major celebrities to catch the virus, announcing that they had tested positive on 12 March 2020.

In July, West described his own experience with the virus to Forbes, saying he had “chills”, and was “shaking in the bed, taking hot showers, looking at videos telling me what I’m supposed to do to get over it".
