West disappointed fans on Friday when the album failed to materialise, despite West previously writing on his website that it would be released 27 September.
But on her Instagram story, Kardashian West said that the album was only postponed due to “a few final tweaks to mixes”.
“Kanye’s doing a listening session in Chicago tomorrow, then NYC Sunday,” she also wrote. “He’s dropping the album Sunday.”
West’s Chicago listening session follows a similar session in Detroit last night (27 September). Titled Jesus is King: A Kanye West Experience, it saw the star preview songs from the record, which has been described as being heavily influenced by gospel music.
The preview of the album was additionally preceded by a preview clip of a film titled Jesus is Lord, which Kardashian West claimed in her Instagram Story will be screened in IMAX cinemas in October.
It is currently unknown whether the mystery film is a documentary or a feature.
Jesus is King is the second project from West to be shelved last-minute in less than a year.
Yandhi, which was announced by Kardashian on Twitter, was expected to be released last September. It was then pushed back to a 23 November release date, but never arrived.
