This election is still a dead heat, according to most polls. In a fight with such wafer-thin margins, we need reporters on the ground talking to the people Trump and Harris are courting. Your support allows us to keep sending journalists to the story.

It may have been quiet on the Carpool Karaoke front for the past month but James Corden's popular Late Show segment has returned, this time with Jennifer Lopez in the passenger seat.

Having recently hit the high notes with Sia and duetted with Sir Elton John, the host welcomed the Bronx hailing singer, belting out some of her most well-known tunes in the process.

Early Noughties hits "Love Don't Cost a Thing" and "Jenny from the Block" both featured, as well as a particularly powerful version of Bruno Mars' "Locked Out of Heaven."

The duo also found time to talk about the subjects that made J-Lo a tabloid sensation, including the long-gestating rumour that she once insured her 'booty' for $27 million.

This particular Carpool Karaoke also solidified just how far Corden has wormed his way into the hearts of the rich and famous: taking Lopez's iPhone, the host cheekily scrolls through her contacts list before texting Leonardo DiCaprio.

'Hey baby,' Corden writes. 'I'm kind of feeling like I need to cut loose. Any suggestions, let me know. J. Lo (you know, from the block).'

Leo's reply? 'You mean tonight, boo boo? Club wise?'

Forget his Oscar-winning performance in The Revenant – this surely has to be the actor's defining moment.
