Glastonbury 2015 tickets: How to register for next year's festival
Anyone not registered by the end of tonight will not be able to buy tickets
Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Speculation is already rife over which top bands will headline next year’s Glastonbury Festival. But if you miss out on tickets this week, the line-up matters little, as sadly you will not be dancing at Worthy Farm.
The first step to bagging those golden tickets is to register online before the end of today (that’s 23.59pm on Tuesday 30 September). Fail to do so and you will not be eligible to buy tickets when they go on general sale this coming Sunday.
What does registration involve and how can I do it?
If you have been to Glastonbury since online registration began in 2007, you do not to re-register. All you need to do is log on and recover your registration number using your email address.
Glastonbury newbies have a little more to do. Every festival-goer aged 13 or over needs their own registration number to buy a ticket. Luckily, it’s easy enough to register as you can now use your smartphone or tablet to do so.
Head to www.glastonburyregistration.co.uk, where you will be asked to upload a passport-style photo which you can crop directly on the website.
You will then be asked to complete a form with your personal details. You must enter the identical information during the ticket booking process later, so take note.
You will be contacted about your registration once your photo has been checked for eligibility. You will be given the chance to change your photo if it does not fit requirements.
Now, you can sit back and relax before the mad ticketing rush at 9am on Sunday 5 October (or 7pm on Wednesday 1 October if you want to book a coach package – worth considering to beat crowds).
How much do tickets cost?
Tickets cost £220 plus a £5 booking fee per person. Deposits of £50 per person are payable on 5 October, with the rest of the fee due in the first week of April 2015. Those buying coach packages will be asked to pay the full fee upfront.

Six tickets can be booked in one transaction, as long as you have each person’s registration number. You must use a UK registered debit card to book, or a credit card with a non-UK billing address if you are coming from abroad.
How do I prepare myself for 9am on Sunday?
1) Load up the ticketing website ahead of 9am. Make sure you have the registration numbers and postcodes for everyone you are booking tickets for, as well as the exact address details you entered when you registered. Tickets are not reserved while you enter your details so the quicker you can be, the better.
2) You might get to a point where your page will not load any further. If this happens, press ‘back’ once and try continuing again from that point. If that does not work, close your browser and start again. Access to booking pages expires after ten minutes, when your registration number will be released for you to try again.
3) Don’t give up – you might be sitting at your computer for half an hour or more, entering your details multiple times, as there will be more people trying to get tickets than tickets available. Here's a clip from Dolly Parton's set last year for motivation.
Which bands are playing?
As ever, this remains a big mystery until the spring, although rumours are already swirling over who organiser Michael Eavis might have booked for the Pyramid Stage.
Fleetwood Mac, AC/DC and Muse are the bookies’ favourites to headline in 2015, with Kate Bush, Oasis, Radiohead, Foo Fighters and The Libertines all also tipped.
But as getting tickets is somewhat of a marathon, it might be wise to hold back your excitement until, hopefully, Sunday. Good luck!
