Helsinki's annual Flow Festival has announced a mouthwatering first wave of acts for its 2018 event.

The music festival will host Kendrick Lamar as its first headline, along with major acts such as Patti Smith, St Vincent, Grizzly Bear, Bonobo, Alma, Sigrid, Mura Masa, Brockhampton, DJ Helena Hauff, and Mura Masa.

Flow Festival takes place at Suvilahti in Helsinki, Finland, from 10 - 12 August - tickets are on sale now.

Attending the event last year, The Independent praised it for its stunning location, art spaces and other hidden gems that "give the festival its unique identity".

"Helsinki's Flow Festival has managed to embrace the shift [of the European festival scene] while also holding onto the traditions which have constantly made it stand out from a plethora of similar events," our reviewer said.
