Elton John adds extra dates to Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour
Singer boosted the North American leg of his tour after the first 60 dates sold out

Elton John has added new dates to his farewell shows in North America after the first 60 performances sold out.
The singer announced his retirement from live music to spend more time with his family, but not before playing a final 300 shows over the next three years.
“My priorities have changed,” he told guests at a press conference in New York last week. “My priorities are my children, my husband and my family.”
He revealed it had taken two years to plan a special virtual reality film of past concerts along with the tour itself, explaining he wanted to do it in “a classy and elegant way”.
Tickets for the newly added dates go on sale to the general public on 16 February - tickets and VIP packages can be purchased at EltonJohn.com.
John was honoured at this year's Grammy Awards, where he performed a duet of his classic 1971 song "Tiny Dancer" with Miley Cyrus.
He is currently finishing a residency in Las Vegas which concludes in May, before setting out on the farewell tour from 8 September.
