Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Though South African rap duo Die Antwoord are currently prepping the release of new album Mount Ninji and Da Nice Time Kid, they appear to have found time to branch out with a little entrepreneurialism.
The pair partnered with Northern California's largest supplier of medicinal cannabis products, Natural Cannabis, to bring out their own line of weed products called Zef Zol (via Channel 24); ranging from vapes, vape refills, lip balms, chocolates, and mouth spray.
The line ties in with a follow-up to single "Banana Brain", entitled "We Have Candy"; with the line promising several unique flavours which combine cannabis and candy, alongside making available pure gold blunt wraps.
Die Antwoord already recently became targets for controversy when the duo's Yolandi Visser launched into a blistering rant on Instagram claiming that director David Ayer had utilised the group's style in Suicide Squad without having been granted permission.
The group's other member, Ninja, previewed the line on his Instagram page earlier this week; with the products set to become available in U.S. states where the drug is legal.
Mount Ninji and Da Kid Nice Time will be released on 16 September.
