A stage musical featuring songs from the late David Bowie's back catalogue is finally making its way over to London following a successful run on Broadway.

Titled Lazarus, the musical was co-written by the musician alongside Enda Walsh, the Irish playwright who penned the stage version of Once. It's a sequel to Walter Tevis novel The Man Who Fell to Earth, the 1976 film adaptation of which Bowie starred in.

The musical began its limited run at New York Theatre Workshop in December 2015. Bowie - whose last public appearance was at the production's premiere - died of cancer on 10 January.

Dexter actor Michael C. Hall, Sophia Anne Caruso and Michael Esper are set to reprise their roles for the London run at Kings Cross Theatre from 25 October 2016 to 22 January 2017.

The musical - which includes three original songs - won rave reviews upon its Broadway debut with many highlighting its surrealistic qualities.

Other tracks to feature on the soundtrack include "Absolute Beginners," "Heroes" and namesake "Lazarus" which is taken from Bowie's final record Blackstar.
