Last week, Kano released a new album titled Made in the Manor and, to promote it, sat down with his longtime friend and collaborator Damon Albarn to discuss all kinds of topics ranging from social media to table tennis.

The forthright Blur frontman also chose the moment to provide his verdict on controversy-monger Kanye West.

Speaking in a video interview for Noisey, Albarn told the grime MC: "Well, I've known Kanye since he first arrived. Some of his ideas are brilliant, some of them are really bad, but that doesn't matter… He's interesting, definitely."

"I'd rather people were like that than just really safe."

Referring to the recent hype surrounding West's latest album The Life of Pablo, Albarn commented: "If I somehow ended up managing Kanye West, fuc*ing hell...

"I'd definitely start with a nice cup of tea and a piece of cake. Then I'd take it from there."

Albarn has collaborated with Kano on Made in the Manor - the latter's first album in six years - featuring on the track "Deep Blues."

Last year, Blur released their eighth studio album The Magic Whip going on to play two big summer dates, one at Isle of Wight Festival and the other at BST Hyde Park.
