From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Craig David is currently enjoying an unexpected career second wind in a comeback that's gaining momentum.

Proving to his fans that he hasn't forgotten his humble beginnings, the R'n'B artist has posted a photo to his Instagram which sees him recreating the cover of his acclaimed first album, Born To Do It.

In case you've forgotten (it was 16 years ago), the album artwork featured the singer, clad with headphones, feeling the music.

The recreated shot, designed to promote his cover of Jack Garratt's "Breathe Life," will excite those fans who are sure to be anticipating what'll be a busy summer for the singer; he has a string of DJ sets, European tour dates and an appointment at Bestival on their way.

David has also teased a future mixtape collaboration with Drake, saying that the rapper "recognised Born To Do It as a record that was pivotal in his career and I was recognising all his mixtapes that he was doing. Drake and myself, a mix tape - I know that it would be fire."

Born To Do It still holds the feat of being the fastest-selling debut record for a British male solo act; its tracks include the singles "Fill Me In", "Walking Away" and "7 Days."

His new album Following My Intuition will be released on an unspecified date in 2016.
