Courtney Love granted restraining order against her former manager
Love accuses Sam Lufti of verbally abusing her via phone calls 'at all hours of the day and night'

A judge has granted Courtney Love a restraining order against her former manager, Sam Lutfi.
"The escalating verbal harassment and threats of Sam Lutfi left no choice to Courtney and her family but to seek protection," a lawyer for Love told TMZ. "The Cobains are grateful for the anti-harassment order issued by the Los Angeles Superior Court against Mr. Lutfi and the powers it provides law enforcement to assure that Mr. Lutfi terminates all contact with the family."
The order also protects Love's daughter, Frances Bean Cobain, as well as her sister, Jaimee King, who also both allege harassment. The order demands Lutfi stay at least 100 yards from all three individuals and not contact them in any way until a further hearing, scheduled for 2 January.
A copy of the restraining order, obtained by Spin, details that Love accuses Lutfi of verbally abusing her via phone calls "at all hours of the day and night" and via text messages. One message she attached to the order reads: "go choke on opiates and die... no one gives a s*** about you." Another reads: "all of your s*** is going public Friday morning... don’t say you weren’t warned."
She also alleges that Lufti harassed her on social media using alias accounts, while also monitoring and using her email address without her knowledge.
In her declaration, Love says: "He became a friend over time, and eventually became a trusted adviser. With the benefit of hindsight, this was a huge mistake.”
Lufti, who has known Love since 2010, also received a restraining order from Britney Spears after it was alleged that he had drugged the pop star in order to maintain control of her and her assets. The case was eventually settled by both parties. Lufti is yet to comment publicly on the allegations.
