Megan Thee Stallion holds back tears as she talks about shooting

Cardi B has released the music video for her latest single “WAP” featuring Megan Thee Stallion.

The star-studded video was released on Friday 7 August. Viewers were quick to spot cameo appearances from Kylie Jenner, Normani, Rosalia, Rubi Rose, Sukihana and Mulatto.

Fans shared their excitement on social media with posts about the new video trending on Twitter. One user wrote, “Cardi and Megan did what needed to be done. The girls are giving!!!!” while another commented, “cardi b & megan thee stallion are really coming to save 2020 aren’t they? [sic]”

Appearing on New Music Daily for Apple Music, Cardi B said: “I wanted a lot of different females, not just female rappers… Y’all going to see it on the music video as well, from models to influencers and everything.”

Speaking about the lesser-known artists featured, including Rubi Rose, Sukihana and Mulatto, she said, “These are the girls that I personally like. That I like they’re music. That I really feel they are going to go mainstream.”

“WAP” marks Cardi B’s first track as a lead artist since 2019’s “Press”. The single is also the first new music released by Megan Thee Stallion since she was injured in a shooting in July this year.

The pair teased the song earlier this week sharing pictures of the album cover art on their social media platforms.

Hours before the song’s release, the “Bodak Yellow” rapper told fans to expect a “censored version” of the video on YouTube and said to “make sure you get the real s*** on all streaming platforms”.
