Cardi B has revealed the name of her character in the forthcoming movie Hustlers.

The “I Like It” star will play a stripper called diamond in the film, which is her first big-screen role that will see her act alongside Jennifer Lopez.

The reveal took place via Instagram when the former real-life pole dancer shared a selfie of herself in costume.

“Y’all ready for DIAMOND to come to a theater near you this fall ? HUSTLER MOVIE !” she captioned the image.

Hustlers is being directed by Lorene Scafaria, who has commented of her goal to flip gender stereotypes with the film: “Men have been told they’re worth the size of their bank accounts.

“Women have been told they’re worth the symmetry of their faces, their bodies, their beauty and that’s what the film is based on: the rules of the club and the rules of the world.”

Riverdale star Lili Reinhart, Keke Palmer and Julia Stiles will also star.

Cardi's post comes after she cancelled a string of shows to recover from cosmetic surgery, including her headline slot at Parklife festival in Manchester.
