Adele and James Bay are both in the running to scoop the top prizes at the BRIT Awards 2016 after it was revealed they each have four nominations.
Adele, who recently released her album '25', is up for British female solo artist and MasterCard British album of the year. Her single 'Hello' is in the running for British single and British artist video of the year.
James Bay is up for British breakthrough act and British Male Solo Artist, and his single 'Hold Back the River' is up for British Single. His album, 'Chaos and the Calm' is up against Adele's in the album category.
Pop-electronica band Years and Years also have four nominations.
