From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. Sheffield rockers Bring Me The Horizon cooked up a storm at last night's NME Awards when the band's frontman trashed Coldplay's table.

Oli Sykes was in the middle of singing "Happy Song" when he made his way down from a balcony at London's 02 Academy Brixton and directly to the band's table.

He was seen tapping Chris Martin on the shoulder before leaping onto the table, sending bottles and glasses flying.

The rock band previously took issue with Coldplay after claiming the album artwork for their latest album A Head Full of Dreams was considerably similar to their own record Sempiternal, which was released back in 2013. Decide for yourself below.

Coldplay frontman Martin - who collected the Godlike Genius award from Kylie Minogue - seemed unfazed, afterwards telling NME he had never heard of Bring Me The Horizon. He did, however, state that the performance "...was great rock n roll."

NME reports that Sykes himself said his actions were "in no way a protest against Coldplay."

Perhaps he was just as miffed about their Glastonbury headline announcement as everyone else seems to be.

At last night's ceremony, Glastonbury organiser Michael Eavis revealed that this year's headline acts will all be British, ruling out Foo Fighters who were forced to cancel their appearance last year when frontman Dave Grohl broke his leg.
