DaBaby’s “Rockstar” has been revealed as the biggest-selling song of the summer, according to the Official Charts Company.

The rap song achieved over 654,000 combined sales and streams over the summer months. Propelled by a viral dance challenge on TikTok, the track outsold more well-known artists including Lady Gaga, The Weeknd and Harry Styles.

“Rockstar” had previously been named the most-streamed song of the summer by Spotify.

At second place was Jawsh 865 and Jason Derulo’s “Savage Love” which notched 566,000 chart sales, closely followed by Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande’s hit song “Rain On Me”, which achieved 515,000.

The duo's pop collaboration was followed by The Weeknd’s hit single “Blinding Lights”, which reached number one earlier this year.

Harry Styles’s “Watermelon Sugar” still managed eighth place this summer, despite having made its chart debut last November.

Other tracks to feature on the top 10 list include Joel Corry ft MNEK’s “Head & Heart”, Topic Ft A7S’s “Breaking Me”, S1 MBA ft DTG’s “Rover”, Regard & Raye’s “Secrets”, and AJ Tracey’s “Dinner Guest” featuring Mostack.

The Official Charts combined sales and downloads with video and audio streams to judge the rankings.

On Youtube, the top track was “How You Like That” by Korean pop band Blackpink. The track was played over 450 million times between June and August.
