Adele is among the many fans celebrating the news that the Spice Girls are setting out on a reunion tour.

Yesterday (5 November), it was announced that Mel B, Mel C, Geri Horner and Emma Bunton would perform a series of UK stadium shows in 2019 – their first tour in a decade. Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice) has opted not to take part.

Adele, who is a noted Spice Girls superfan, responded to the news by sharing a funny throwback picture on her Instagram page.

The photo shows a young Adele sitting in her pyjamas in front of her bedroom wall, which is covered in pictures of Scary, Posh, Ginger, Baby and Sporty in their "Girl Power" heyday.

Adele said the image perfectly replicated how she was feeling today: “HA! This is how I feel right now! I AM READY!”

Geri Horner herself shared Adele's throwback photo to her own page in acknowledgement of her support.

The Spice Girls have six performances currently scheduled for Manchester, Coventry, Sunderland, Edinburgh, Bristol, and London.
