From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Dr Noki will present a catwalk show at London festival Lovebox later this month. "Just like Linda, Naomi and Christie famously known for only waking up for no less than £ 10,000 a day, Dr Noki only wakes up to immerse himself in exciting new projects," said Noki. "Music is one of my first loves so I was very excited and honoured to be asked to host Lovebox's first ever catwalk show. I can't wait to bring an explosion of sustainable fashion Dr Noki style to the main stage at Lovebox Sunday."
Noki shot to fashion fame following the success of his spring/summer 2008 show at Fashion East, when he first became known for his experimental, unique take on ethical fashion. Noki has secured an impressive celebrity following including Beth Ditto, Kylie Minogue, M.I.A and Skin.
"I've always thought that music and fashion run hand in hand so the idea in a nutshell was to add a new dimension to the Lovebox Sunday main stag," said James Baillie, creative director of Sunday's Lovebox festival. "I wanted to work with JJ (Dr Noki NHS) on doing a fashion show as I was inspired by his ethos and the garments he creates from second hand clothes and fabrics. His collection is much more than just fashion garments, they are pieces of Art".
Catch one of Dr Noki's designs as sported by Jonny Woo at Lovebox on Sunday when he comperes the Main Stage, as well as wearing a number of other designers throughout the day, including Giles Deacon, Roksanda Illinic, Louise Gray, Alex Noble and Lyall Hakaraia.
