From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. Two US radio stations have posted - and swiftly deleted - tweets about summer live shows from the rapper in support of his latest album, The Life of Pablo.
JAM'N 107.5 in Portland claimed West would be playing the city's MODA Center on 8 July, while DJ Ryan Cameron from Atlanta station V103 prematurely announced a competition to win tickets to a 5 August show in the city.
The DJ's now-deleted tweet, which was spotted by Pitchfork, read: "The Saint Pablo tour is coming August 5, to PHILLIPS arena so guess who has them now? This guy! @kanyewest tix before 8!"
The rapper released his seventh studio album, The Life of Pablo, in February exclusively on streaming service Tidal. He has since insisted he is still working on it and has made alterations to several of its tracks.
Yeezy played a series of festival shows in 2015, but his last full-scale headline tour - in support of the Yeezus album - took place in 2013-14.
