From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

On April 14, organizers of the 40th annual Glastonbury Festival revealed a lineup for the 2010 event, set to run from June 23 through 27 in Pilton, England. Previously announced headliners U2, Muse, and Stevie Wonder will now be joined by The Flaming Lips, Pet Shop Boys, Orbital, and Vampire Weekend, as well as several hundred additional acts.

Additional acts set to perform include Jack Johnson, LCD Soundsystem, Snoop Dogg; Willie Nelson, Norah Jones, Slash, Femi Kuti, Fatboy Slim, Hot Chip, MGMT, Mos Def, Dizzee Rascal, Florence and the Machine, Kate Nash. Performers on the festival's smaller stages will be revealed in the coming weeks, say organizers.

The Glastonbury Festival is one of the biggest and best-loved music festivals in the world, known for its all-star lineups and varied arts offerings. As of April 11, all tickets for the 2010 festival - including those left from cancelled orders - have sold out.
