Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Ireland is pushing out exciting new acts at an astonishing rate and Otherkin are no exception.
We've covered this garage punk-rock four-piece a couple of times - they've been together for just over three years but have already racked up some of the biggest festivals in the UK and Europe, plus an opening slot for Guns N' Roses at Slane Castle in May.
Their debut album OK was released in September and it's a belter - scuzzy guitar riffs, furious energy and raucous vocals.
The guys dropped by the studio before a London show and Conor and Luke played three tracks off the new album: "Bad Advice", "I Was Born" and "Come On, Hello".
Having seen them live it was - as it often is with Music Box - slightly odd to see them tone it down so much in the session.
Live the band are this maelstrom that tears through the room: in Music Box the songs have a different energy.
Check out Otherkin's session (above) and catch them live in the UK from 4 December. Their debut album OK is out now.
