Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

Vocals Kanye West

He's a very honest musician. Last year I watched VH1's "Storytellers", which focused on his album '808s & Heartbreak'. It will stick with me for the rest of my life. He allows you to go into his life and understand a little bit of what it's like to be Kanye West. He's not afraid to lie on the floor and stare at the ceiling or get involved with the crowd. People seem to love to hate him, but I think that controversy is what makes an artist great.

DJs Swedish House Mafia

I worked with them on one of my favourite tracks from my album, 'Miami 2 Ibiza'. I feel like they took me to another world with that track. They invited me to Pacha and I've been in Ibiza a few times with them. They showed me another world of music, so as a way of paying them back, I've put them in my fantasy band.

Guitar Jimi Hendrix

He's a legend and somebody who has created a legacy and will be remembered forever. I just love his style and technique. He definitely brings music to life with his guitar.

Drums Fab Moretti

Travis Barker Blink-182's drummer is one of my favourites. I really like his style and he's credible in both the rock world and the hip-hop world, which is important for me. A hip-hop performance is different to a rock performance, but they are two good styles to really get a crowd crazy. When I perform I try to have the best of both worlds.

Keyboard Alicia Keys

It would be nice to have a beautiful woman in the band. She's very strong willed and knows what she likes, and how she wants to do things. I've seen her perform "Empire State of Mind" with Jay-Z and thought she made it look wicked. If she got sick, I'd get Chris Martin to come and fill in for her.

Bass Cee-Lo Green

I'm not sure if he plays the bass, but he looks like he could do! I would love some additional vocals from him, too. He just seems like an all-round creative guy and I'd want him involved.

The 15th anniversary MOBO Awards, in association with Lebara Mobile, are held at Liverpool's Echo Arena on 20 October. Tinie Tempah has been nominated for four awards this year. Music fans can now vote for their favourite artists at www.mobo.com. Tinie Tempah's debut album 'Disc-Overy' is out now.
