Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference. Vocals - Freddie Mercury
I grew up listening to Queen – and what can you say about Freddie Mercury? I don't think there's another performer like him. I love watching clips of him on stage; his outfits were wicked too. I also really like Phil Collins; it's a bit of a toss-up between those two to be lead vocalist. Phil has written some great songs and he's an amazing drummer.
Guitar - Carlos Santana
His guitar solos are unbelievable, the way he slides up and down those notes. He's so tight. I like all his work. It's crazy to think that's he's been going for about 40 years now and he's still as great as ever.
Bass Uncle B
Uncle B was my dad; we named our debut album after him, as he died just before we got our latest record deal. He was our manager and everyone called him Uncle B, whether you were related to him or not. He played bass for Mungo Jerry, who are probably best known for "In the Summertime".
Drums - Breakbeat
He's a friend of mine and the best young, up-and-coming drummer in the country. He raps over the drums, but I'd just like him to drum for this. You may not have heard of him yet, but you will.
