Your support helps us to tell the story

This election is still a dead heat, according to most polls. In a fight with such wafer-thin margins, we need reporters on the ground talking to the people Trump and Harris are courting. Your support allows us to keep sending journalists to the story.

The Independent is trusted by 27 million Americans from across the entire political spectrum every month. Unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock you out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. But quality journalism must still be paid for.

Help us keep bring these critical stories to light. Your support makes all the difference.

Vocals - Robert Plant
I have so much love for Led Zeppelin. I met Robert in Switzerland, when we played a big concert together. He watched me perform and I was so proud. It was one of the best days of my life.

Guitar - Jimmy Page and Dave Gilmour
I can't decide between them, so I must have both. Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin again) plays these incredible solos while Pink Floyd's Gilmour is more into phrasing, but I am inspired by both of them.

Bass - Flea
I would like to have Flea from Red Hot Chili Peppers. I met him in Nigeria last year when we both played with Africa Express. It was a great experience and I really enjoyed playing with him and being around him.

Keyboards - Stevie Wonder
Stevie is one of my absolute favourite musicians. He is simply the most talented keyboard player; he has a way of playing that is quite unlike anyone else.

Drums - Will Calhoun
Will plays with Living Colour, a really interesting rock band who've been going for years. We played together at the Blind Institute. He was great.
