From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

On September 23, Depeche Mode announced plans to release a DVD and Blu-Ray recorded over two sold-out nights in Barcelona on their Tour of the Universe. The release date is November 8 in Europe (November 9 in North America).

The DVD, Tour of the Universe - Live in Barcelona, contains 21 tracks recorded from the shows promoting their 12th album, Sounds of the Universe. Packed with classics such as "Precious," "Fly on the Windscreen," and "Behind the Wheel," the DVD was filmed on November 20 and 21, 2009, at Barcelona's Palau Sant Jordi.

The release is set to come in three formats, including a deluxe version containing two audio CDs of the concerts, four promotional videos, and a tour documentary featuring montages and scenes from tour rehearsals.

During the band's Tour of the Universe, which began in Israel in May 2009, Depeche Mode played across 32 countries to more than 2.3 million people. Considered one of the most successful electronic bands ever, Depeche Mode has had 48 songs in the UK Singles Chart and number one albums in the UK, the US, and Europe.
