From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

American rapper 50 Cent has revealed the album cover to his fourth studio album, Before I Self Destruct, through ThisIs50.com.

The record is due for release on November 17, and features guest appearances by American hip-hop artists Eminem and Dr. Dre. The album art to Before I Self Destruct shows a close-up of 50 Cent's face, with some incineration revealing a robotic visage reminiscent of posters for the Terminator science fiction franchise.

50 Cent has been busying turning himself into a pop culture icon, starring in films (2008's Righteous Kill, with American actors Robert De Niro and Al Pacino), producing videogames ( 50 Cent: Bulletproof), and selling Formula 50 vitamin water through Coca-Cola's Glacéau subsidiary.

Before I Self Destruct will reportedly be accompanied by a film of the same name, directed by 50 Cent.
