Sir: Sue Arnold complains about the cost of a church wedding ("Give me the register office any time", 22 September). It would be interesting to know how much she paid for the photographer, reception, bridal dress, cars and all the other trappings. The church fee, including the vicar's minimum three hours' work, organist, verger, heating etc, might have been around pounds 150. And as for the "religious aspect", maybe the vicar concluded that the discussion would just be a waste of time. Sensible chap.
