Sir. Professor Anthony Trewavas's letter (22 June) states quite clearly that of organic, intensively farmed and GM food, the first has the greatest risk.
Are we to assume that Professor Trewavas has access to favourable information concerning the long-term effects of GM food on the human condition? If not, his remarks are highly misleading. And if so, would it not be better to forward his results to Mr Blair who would more than welcome any straw to clutch at in his attempt to force GM foods upon the wary people of this country.
