Sir: I was disappointed in your article "Lifting the lid on the pizza man" (3 October).

We are supposed to be a country proud to practise free speech. Tom Monaghan has built churches for those who want to worship God, has built schools for children who need education and has used his money to support his opinions. And, unfortunately for him, his opinions are not trendy, and for this he is castigated.
