Letter: In Brief
Sir: When working on the drawings for the Time Life building in 1952, I remember hearing a tale from one of the small posse that went down to St Ives to commission Ben Nicholson ("Henry Mooore sent back to his office", 28 August). When told that the clients had only half the money he was asking for a mural to cover the whole wall, which is what we all hoped for, he offered to paint them one half the size. This, sadly, was agreed.
