Your support makes all the difference.Sir: I was concerned to read ("Mother chose to go blind for baby", 6 September) about a pregnant diabetic woman who did not have a full course of laser treatment for her diabetic eye disease because "it would kill my baby". This must have been a misunderstanding. There is no evidence that laser therapy is harmful to the developing fetus.
