Letter: In brief
Sir: Congratulations! In the Tuesday Review ("The search for the Gypsy Bible", 25 May) you have spelt Gypsy using an upper case G. The common use of the lower-case letter suggests a lesser culture less worthy of recognition. An incorrect spelling of Gypsy can only help to reinforce the marginalisation of, as your reviewer states, "a hated people, wrongly accused of having no culture".
