Sir: Why is it that we demand so shrilly the blood of the immature that kill when in the adult world killing is a daily occurrence, often drawing little more than a fine?
Are we simply too overcome with guilt (or cowardice)? Or is it some perverse form of child abuse in our (reportedly) paedophile-riddled society, where we may enjoy the satisfaction of submitting children to prolonged suffering with no fear of recrimination?
Better we look to ourselves.
