Letter: Fathers of families
Sir: Jack O'Sullivan refers to our "father-blind" society. As a communications consultant working mainly in the City, I am constantly faced with how much men's children mean to them, and how the enforced split between their lives as fathers and as employees causes problems in both areas.
As a regular reader of The Independent, it seems to me that this paper is also usually father-blind, in that any comment on family policy is invariably written by women. It was heartening to see it discussed by a man, with a man's perspective.
