Sir: Shenington Primary comes top of the league tables ("Best school in England", 8 December).
We have a mere 82 pupils being educated in an idyllic rural setting, away from inner-city stresses, who are able to play freely and safely in a supportive community and have well-heeled parents ready and willing to provide a mountain of support.
Then we have the head telling us that the reason for success is "expectations; we simply expect more than is required." Of course it must be. I can't possibly think what else it could be.
