Sir: Mark Steel ("Here's to a godless Christmas", 21 December) ably demonstrates that it is all too easy to rubbish those of us who claim to be Christians (and I have no doubt that some of us deserve to be rubbished). It is somewhat more difficult for us to rubbish journalists and other media gurus, since most appear have an infinite capacity to speak or write yet not to listen too much. I suggest Mr Steel spends a bit more time examining the founder of Christianity and less on those who falteringly claim to follow him.
