Sir: On Monday morning I caught a Circle Line train on the London Underground for the first time in some weeks following completion of the much-publicised engineering works. On Tuesday morning I heard the first announcement for the same period that, because of a shortage of Circle Line trains, passengers were advised to take the District Line and change as necessary. Is this a record?
