Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

Lemmings is back, and this time it's on PlayStation. For the uninitiated, these friendly green-haired critters wander en masse through hostile environments, courting disaster with every footstep. Stupid but lovable, they dig, climb, float, mine, build and explode their way through the game, relying on you to make all their decisions. Your job is to assign special skills to individual Lemmings to ensure their safe passage to the exit of each level.

The games publishers Psygnosis will be releasing Lemmings for the PlayStation on 6 Nov, and each pack will include both the original game and the sequel, OH NO! More Lemmings for pounds 24.99.

The Information has 20 copies of the game to give away. For a chance to win one, send your name, address and daytime phone number on a postcard, by 7 Nov, to: The Information/ Lemmings Comp, c/o Coalition, 12 Barley Mow Passage, London W4 4PH. First cards pulled out of the hat after that date will win.
