KITTED OUT IN COSMOPOLITAN STYLE Six of the best travel kits
Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference. The recently launched New Age Traveller, pounds 39 from Molton Brown (0171 499 6474 for stockists), contains after-flight remedies and body treatments to relax, restore and rejuvenate. The products include a sun protector for hair, eye soother and foot zone reflexology. It is a very well-designed pack - the only danger is that, being unisex, you might have to share it.
The Top to Toe Bag costs pounds 36 from Decleor, (0171 262 0403 for stockists) and contains everything you could want from aromatherapy oil for the face to anti-cellulite slimming gel. It is not the best looking travel kit but the products, which are based on essential oils and are 100 per cent natural, are extremely good and the selection in this kit is comprehensive.
Neals Yard Remedies (0171 627 1949 for stockists) produces a range of different travel kits, including this one for fair skin and hair, which costs pounds 15.25. Other kits include the Travel Roll, a herbal first aid kit for pounds 32.50 with eight alternative first aid remedies including lavender oil, citronella, camomile teabags and arnica. Best of all are the wonderful blue bottles.
The known and loved In-flight Bag from Jo Malone (0171 720 0202 for mail order) is compact and comprehensive with a chic, soft portfolio-style case. For pounds 45 this comes packed with all kinds of Jo Malone goodies from a flannel and comb to lime, basil and mandarin body lotion, orange and geranium night cream and apricot and aloe eye gel.
The Travel Tin from Zarvis (0181 968 5435 for mail order) contains special skin oil, camomile eye pads, bath botanical liquid, and a natural sponge. Zarvis products are based around yummy natural botanical ingredients but you do pay for the packaging - sleek and handsome as it is - somewhat because the tin is not cheap at pounds 29.95.
While stocks last, grab yourself a Crabtree and Evelyn Limited edition La Source Travel Set (01235 862244 for mail order enquiries). The stress- reducing products are good value at pounds 12.50 and the mini-sized essentials are just the right amount for a pampered weekend away - any boyfriends needing extra brownie points should take note.
