Your support makes all the difference.As a revered Channel 4 news anchor, Jon Snow was no doubt in a rush to cover the breaking news that Bob Crow had passed away.
Medics attempted to revive the transport trade union leader for over an hour after he suffered a massive heart attack and died, aged just 52.
The Rail, Maritime and Transport union confirmed the news, posting the following announcement:
"It is with the deepest regret that RMT has to confirm that our general secretary Bob Crow sadly passed away in the early hours of this morning."
Tributes started to flow in from supporters on Twitter, and even Boris Johnson gave his deepest condolences.
"Whatever our political differences, and there were many, this is tragic news," he said.
"Bob fought tirelessly for his beliefs and for his members.
"There can be absolutely no doubt that he played a big part in the success of the Tube, and he shared my goal to make transport in London an even greater success. It's a sad day."
Of course, some were better received than others. Katie Hopkins did a typically inflammatory job with this poorly timed tweet.
But Jon Snow might have missed all of that. Because shortly after posting this message:

Update: Editor Ben has since tweeted the following message to worried followers: "Dear all jonsnowc4 is no longer trapped in the lift; he was freed 10 minutes after my tweet. He's fine & doesn't suffer from claustrophobia."
