From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. The first part of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will hit theaters on November 19 and fans are counting the days. The following may contain spoilers about the story.

Entertainment Weekly magazine has revealed the split between the film's two part version of the last book in the series. According to director David Yates, Part I of the Deathly Hallows will end around Chapter 24 with Voldemort obtaining the Elder Wand, one of the three Deathly Hallows.

Part I could end shortly after the chase scene in the woods when Harry (Daniel Radcliffe), Hermoine (Emma Watson) and Ron (Rupert Grint) are captured by the Snatchers.

"The Snatchers are brutal and scary but they aren't the most intelligent of creatures," Yates told EW, "They're trying to figure out exactly who it is they've caught...Things can change when you edit, of course, but the idea now is that it will be not long after the sequence...That's what we're experimenting with."

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 will be released July 15, 2011, which will focus on the battle for Hogwarts and the conclusion of the story.

Starring Daniel Radcliffe in the title role for all eight installments of the ‘Harry Potter' franchise, he has told the press how "devastated" the cast was at the end of shooting. No doubt, audiences will also be sad when the films end.
