John Boorman's latest should have been called 'The Dog's Breakfast'. It stars Brendan Gleeson as a Dublin property developer who spots his doppelgänger in the street. His wife (Kim Cattrall) thinks he's losing his mind, but if he does have a double, his privileged existence could be at stake. Boorman labours to cover every social issue affecting Ireland today, but his sledgehammer satire feels out of date, and his tone veers even more wildly than Gleeson and Cattrall's accents.
