In 1986, a young girl on a bicycle is raped and murdered in a wheat field outside a forest. Twenty years on, the memory of the crime continues to distort life in a sleepy German town. A creepy performance from the Danish actor Ulrich Thomsen as a lonely caretaker adds to the prevailing sense of unease.
